How to Use Soap

I have been told that I use an amazing amount of soap; of course I am sometimes testing out new recipes so there are at least three bars around the tub at any given time. Each have their own soap dish and I thoroughly enjoy each one through to the end. Come to think of it, I probably over -work my soap as I insist each bar provide me the most lather possible. Even when I am notably clean, I still manage to find reasons to bathe. But after all, I must test the bars for you, right?

Though it may seem a bit strange there is a correct way to use a bar of soap so that it will last as long as possible. So that you get the most longevity out of a bar it is best to wet your hands and turn the dry bar over and over, creating enough friction to work up a good lather. Occasionally you may need to add more water but do so without rubbing your hands and the bar together under the tap - the most common form of ‘bar abuse‘!! Once you have a nice lather, return the bar back to the soap dish and apply the luscious lather to the area to be cleaned.

Despite the instructions, soap is a luxurious treat meant to be enjoyed. As is the entire bathing experience. Enjoy and indulge in a warm bath on a daily basis if possible - use it, love it, inhale the wonderful fragrance you have chosen. And remember, there is more where that bar came from.
